4. Keychains and Charms

Air dry clay is perfect for making keychains and small charms. They are simple to create and can be personalized with names, initials, or fun shapes. You will need clay, small rolling pins, shaping tools, key rings or chains, and paint for finishing.

Start by conditioning the clay and rolling it into a thin sheet. Cut out shapes using small cookie cutters, or freehand your designs. Use a toothpick to create a hole for the keyring. You can also add textures, letters, or designs using stamps or modeling tools. Allow the pieces to dry completely.

Once dry, sand lightly to remove imperfections. Paint your charms in desired colors, and finish with a varnish to protect them. Attach the dried charm to a keyring or chain. These keychains are fun, inexpensive gifts and are ideal for personalizing bags, backpacks, or keys.
