10. Decorative Plates
Air dry clay can also be used to create decorative plates for display purposes. You will need clay, a rolling pin, a round mold or template, shaping tools, and paint or varnish.
Knead the clay until soft, then roll it out evenly. Place it over a round mold or shape it by hand into a shallow plate. Smooth the edges and create textures, patterns, or designs as desired. Let the plate dry completely.
Once dry, sand the edges and paint with your preferred colors. Seal with varnish for durability. Decorative plates can be displayed on stands, walls, or shelves and make elegant gifts or home accents.
