5. DIY Star Plush
A star plush is simple but charming. Begin by preparing a five point star pattern with evenly balanced points. Choose felt, fleece, or cotton fabric depending on whether you prefer a structured or soft finish. Cut two identical star shapes and align them carefully. Because stars have sharp angles, pin the edges securely to prevent shifting during sewing.
Sew around the edges, leaving a small opening for stuffing. When turning the plush right side out, gently push out each point using a tool like a chopstick so the shape looks crisp. Stuff slowly and add extra padding into the points to avoid collapses. Close the opening with an invisible stitch.
To give the star personality, embroider a simple face with closed eyes and a smile. Felt cheeks or stitched blush details add charm. You can also turn the star into a decorative hanging ornament by adding a ribbon loop at the top. Larger stars make excellent throw pillows, while small versions work well as keychains or gifts.
